We believe worship is an act of gratitude because of God's unconditional love for all people. We follow an order that is stable, but flexible, centered around a weekly observance of The Lord's Supper. Our singing includes praise songs and traditional hymns. Our musicians lead rather than perform. Core to what we do is the sharing of concerns and joys, practicing a time of silence, and being inspired and comforted by a very special type of pastoral prayer. Worship at Spirit of Joy serves as the anchor for our life as a church, gathering us together weekly that we might be strengthened in faith and empowered to act on behalf of a world desperate for meaning, hope, and compassion. We also focus on children by including them for the beginning of worship, then providing quality instruction and fun activities during children's church.
All year we enjoy what we call "Coffee Fellowship" that is a time for us to visit with one another and become better acquainted with visitors and new participants.
